Eaglescliffe occurs as village which for ceremonial purposes is inside County Durham, England. These are placed good northward of the River Tees.
Administration
Administratively these are in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, a unitary authority. It was at one time a portion of the county borough of Cleveland, created by the Local Government Act 1972 and abolished in 1996.
Geography
Eaglescliffe contains the little village known as Egglescliffe, and legend says that the title Eaglescliffe fall out while a mistake was mass produced on the railway station's sign. There are numbers of estates inside Eaglescliffe including Grove Estate & Sunningdale.
A Stockton and Darlington Railway passed through the grounds of Preston Hall in Eaglescliffe, and on the opening day there was the celebrated race between the stagecoach traveling down Yarm Road, and a Locomotion Number One.

Events
Several cases hare held around Eaglescliffe each year, mostly within Preston Park which is situated in the north of the town. Numbers of one cases come rerun by Stockton Council.
